Kubota Corporationís farm machinery business has concentrated on machinery used for rice growing markets in Asia since its inception. Today, headquartered in Osaka, Japan, Kubota Corporation is one of Japanís leading suppliers of farm equipment and engines for agricultural use. Kubota management introduced its first tractor to the United States in 1969 as a means to increase its global footprint. Since then, Kubota Tractor became the largest single importer and leading marketer and distributor of tractors rated below 120 horsepower to the U.S. Over the years it expanded its North American offering to include compact construction machinery and began supplying engines to competing manufacturersí for their machines.

Kubota management continues to look to increase the companyís global footprint and derive more revenues outside of Japan. The company has had a multi-decade commitment to supply North American market first with tractors and then with certain compact construction machinery.
