This equipment analysis report covers the backhoe loader market in North America and acts as an update to our last report on this machinery type in 2010.  There are currently 14 suppliers of backhoe loaders in North America today, with production coming from both foreign and domestic manufacturing facilities. Some of the suppliers import and manufacture domestically while others solely rely on importing from countries abroad. 

Since 2010, the market for backhoe loaders has undergone a heavy downturn in both sales and production levels as is true with most other machinery types we cover.  The economic crisis that began with the housing bust in the United States has lead to a dramatically weakened housing market and general construction market, which decides the health of the backhoe loader market because of their heavy usage in such a wide array of applications.
